Meet Willow. She was abandoned and trapped in a narrow alley in Jersey City, NJ. The Animal Response Team at the Liberty Humane Society rescued Willow and took her in to the shelter, but unfortunately Liberty Humane doesn't have enough space for Willow to run around and play.
Liberty Humane Society wants to keep rescuing animals and doing their good work, but right now they're struggling. After the municipal shelter shut down, Liberty Humane was the only shelter left in the whole city. Currently located in an old garage, the animals are scared and unhappy in the overcrowded space.
Willow lives in this small kennel while she waits for a forever home. For big dogs like Willow, these small kennels are uncomfortable and frightening—the loud and unfamiliar noise of the shelter makes them bark. This means Willow looks scary to some people, and she's less likely to be adopted. But you can help this sweet girl find her forever home!
GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Rebuild program has stepped in to reimagine the shelter from the ground up. Your donation will help install comfortable new adoption suites, a training room for dogs, a welcoming lobby, and outdoor space for animals to run and be healthy!
It only costs $2,800 to get Willow out of her cage. That covers the cost for all materials and installation of a state-of-the-art enclosure that will last forever. These cozy adoption suites reduce stress, so Willow will be comfortable and adopters will see her friendly personality!
$1995 raised! $805 to go!
You can help Rescue Rebuild transform the Liberty Humane Society and the lives of other animals like Willow. Without you, we can’t make this project a reality. Donate today!
