An estimated 250,000 cats and kittens live on the streets of Philadelphia. These "community cats" are often fed and cared for by members of the community, but the cost of spaying/neutering and vaccinating community cats are often out of reach for these kind caregivers.
Emancipet's Northeast Philly clinic stepped up in a really big way to help Jackson Galaxy in a recent episode of My Cat From Hell that focused on the community cats of Philadelphia. Now Emancipet is asking for YOUR support to continue to provide free spay/neuter and rabies vaccines to the Philly community cat population. Emancipet will work with caregivers in the community to humanely trap, sterilize, and vaccinate homeless cats. The cats will be ear-tipped for future identification as a sterilized cat and will be returned to their communities. Offering these services at no cost ensures more cats are served, which in turn prevents unnecessary suffering and additional litters...
With your help today, Emancipet can secure funding for the sterilization and vaccination of 500 community cats in Philadelphia.
