You can help neglected animals of Armenia get the medical care they need to live healthier lives.
Armenia is currently struggling with stray animals. Due to the lack of spaying/neutering, these animals have been reproducing for decades, resulting in thousands of stray dogs and cats spread throughout the country. While many are often just searching for food, others are found suffering from various injuries and illnesses.
While Armenian citizens regularly see stray dogs, a few negative experiences have caused Armenians to have a negative view of dogs, and they often mistreat them.
GreaterGood.org has partnered with Pawsitive Rescue Armenia Shelter to ensure animal welfare and address these issues. Together, we will provide these dogs and cats with the medical attention they need such as flea/tick treatment, vaccinations, and spay/neuter procedures, to save stray animals from preventable deaths.
PRAS's three volunteers/co-founders manage the dog shelter, organize various fundraisers, provide medical assistance to injured and sick animals, do rescues on a call basis around the country, arrange visits for groups and volunteers, and organize visits to orphanages, schools, and youth groups. The core pillars Pawsitive focuses on are both direct and urgent care of the animals and basic education and outreach initiatives to help promote animal welfare among the people of Armenia.
You can help. Just $10 provides 1 Animal with a Month of Anti Flea/Tick Treatment Drops.
