Help Save Sea Turtles by Restoring Florida's Coral Reef
Coral reefs around the world are disappearing at an alarming rate. When these important ecosystems perish, they take thousands, if not millions, of species with them. Among these is the critically endangered sea turtle. These turtles depend on coral reefs for food and shelter. They eat sponges and other invertebrates that grow on the reef and use these reefs as their nesting grounds.
Launched on Super Bowl Sunday in Miami, GreaterGood.org and FORCE BLUE have teamed up to create 100 Yards of Hope, a year-long coral reef restoration project that will bring much-needed attention to the plight of Florida’s Coral Reef and help restore habitat for Florida’s rapidly dwindling sea turtle population.
You can be a part of this habitat's healing. Your donations will fund the planting of various corals and organisms that make up a healthy reef. Just $20 helps fund the outplanting of one piece of coral on the 100 Yards of Hope site. In order to ensure the lives of generations of sea turtles to come, we must take action now.
You can help. Give today to save the sea turtle from extinction.
