Help educate law enforcement to put an end to animal cruelty!
Law enforcement does not have access to training to fight animal cruelty in many of their academies, or in service training. The Humane Society of the United States provides training for the information and techniques which makes it accessible to all law enforcement in a given state, and does so at no cost. Law enforcement is given the task of protecting all of its beings, but without adequate training or equipment, animal protection laws are often neglected.
With your help The Humane Society of the United States can provide the materials that law enforcement need that coverts the connection between animal abuse, familial and societal violence, and animal abuse investigation. These training courses will be held at a minimum of 5 locations throughout targeted states. The training is approved through the states' law enforcement training curriculum to provide required certified continuing education hours.
You can help. Just $5 helps law enforcement receive the materials that they need to help end animal abuse.
The Humane Society of the United States and our affiliates provide direct care to more than 100,000 animals each year more than any other animal welfare organization through our sanctuaries, veterinary programs and emergency shelters and rescues. We work to professionalize the field of animal care with our education and training programs.
