November’s Freekibble Flight to Freedom saved 171 dogs and cats from the threat of being euthanized!
On November 30th, a flight left Phoenix, Arizona carrying 171 healthy, loving dogs and cats. All were rescued from overcrowded, high–risk shelters in the Southwest and were flown to Wilmington, Delaware — where they’re being quickly adopted into loving families!
These dogs and cats were at high-risk if they didn't make this flight.
You can help support the next flight! Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.
Three of the 171 Pet Passengers Flown on the Flight to Freedom!
In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs & cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. Freekibble Flights to Freedom works with Wings of Rescue to save homeless pets by flying them to shelters where they're immediately adopted.
Wings of Rescue's mission is to fly rescue animals in overpopulated shelters to a network of no-kill shelters from which they will be quickly adopted into loving homes. Last year alone Wings of Rescue transported nearly 10,000 pets to no-kill shelters who likely would have been euthanized within the next 48 hours. The average length of stay in these new shelters for these pets was less than 3 1/2 days before they were adopted. Wings of Rescue is in urgent need of your support to maintain their operations. With your help these animals can have a second chance at life and find their forever and loving homes!
Our partner, Halo Pets will be donating 10,000 bowls of their high quality food to the shelters receiving the animals.
