Help care for greyhounds rescued from racing!
With tracks closing in Florida, Arkansas, Ireland and the UK, greyhounds are finally getting the second chance they deserve. The GREY2K USA Education Fund is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that sponsors dogs from cages to couches all across the globe!
The way that dogs are treated by the racing industry is nothing short of cruel and inhumane. They languish inside small cages and are fed eat cheap, diseased meat, leading to rotting teeth and overall bad health. Ordinary vet care like teeth cleaning, vaccinations, flea and tick treatments or spay/neuter is unheard of for these poor dogs. Even worse, they suffer broken legs, paralysis, seizures and head trauma while racing.
Now you can help! Greater Good Charities has partnered with the GREY2K to care for rescued greyhounds through their Second Chance for Greyhounds Fund. This program allows hardworking adoption groups to provide not only the basic care that all greyhounds need but underwrites the costs of treating the extreme medical cases they see each month.
Greater Good Charities has partnered with the GREY2K USA Education Fund to care for the influx of rescued greyhounds with the Second Chance for Greyhounds Fund. This new program allows hardworking adoption groups to accept dogs that might otherwise be left behind and killed. We enable shelters to provide a higher level of care and absorb the costs for treating extreme medical cases, so that greyhound groups can focus on these beautiful dogs—and not worry about the high costs of rehabilitation ever again.
Your donations saved Amelia! She is one of the hundreds of greyhounds whom we sponsored last year. First, she was flown to safety from a closing track in China and then we paid for her care and adoption through Kansas City Retired Greyhounds as Pets. Amelia received all the love and TLC she needed after a life of neglect, thanks to supporters like you!
Please help us save all of Amelia’s friends. Just $10 goes towards rescuing greyhounds in need and helping get them the special care they deserve!
