Meet Polina. She lives in Sochi, Russia, where homeless dogs fill the streets, struggling and ignored. Thankfully, Greater Good Charities has partnered with Friends of Sochi Dogs to help. Since the shelter was established in 2013, they've provided a space for more than 400 formerly homeless dogs. Rescued dogs like Polina are given a safe haven where they can run free and receive the food and medical care they need—but every winter poses a new challenge.
After many harsh winters, the shelter is in desperate need of repairs. The cold, wet days have taken a toll on the shelter, and the roads flood often. The kennels need insulation, a heater, and a new roof to keep the dogs and puppies warm. With a sturdy, comfortable shelter and the food and medical supplies to care for them, these dogs will live safely until they find their loving forever homes.
You can help repair the shelter to give dogs like Polina the comfort they deserve.
Friends of Sochi Dogs is a trailblazing non-profit organization committed to improving the welfare of stray dogs through education, adoption, and spay/neuter programs.
