Give a gift to help us send ten girls from the Haven of Hope Orphanage to school for a year.
Meet Girlie. A teenager from Malapatan in the Philippines, Girlie lost her mother when she was very young. She's part of a big family, and Girlie's father struggles to provide for his children. A staggering 35% of Filipinos live in poverty, most from rural areas like Girlie. To give them their best chance, Girlie and her sister Leah were sent to Haven of Hope Orphanage three years ago. There, in Digos City, the girls attend Holy Cross Academy.
Ten girls live in the Haven of Hope Orphanage, and they need your support to continue to attend school. Chronic underfunding and declining education standards have plagued public schools in the Philippines for several decades. For now, private school is the best option for girls to receive a quality education. Together, let's make sure these girls graduate from school so they can break out of the cycle of poverty.
Your donations have already contributed to support ten girls for the last three consecutive years. This year two of Girlie's classmates, Jesel and Arlene (pictured left), both graduated and passed their national exams! It wouldn't have been possible without your donations.
Girlie dreams of becoming a teacher so she can share her love of learning with others in her community. You can help her follow in Jesel and Arlene's footsteps so her dream can come true!
Together, we can support all ten girls at Haven of Hope Orphanage. Help us reach our goal of $6,000 to send all ten girls to school for another full year! Your donation helps provide the girls with a full school-year of tuition, a uniform, and all needed school supplies.
