Help provide a sanctuary for dogs who were abandoned by their owners.
Too often, elderly and injured dogs are tossed on the streets or sent to shelters because their owners no longer can or want to care for them due to high medical costs. In Sochi, Russia, this is a growing problem, and currently there are no facilities that will care for these abandoned dogs.
Greater Good Charities has partnered with Friends of Sochi Dogs to create a sanctuary that is a safe and loving place for pets who were discarded because of their age or medical conditions and who do not have anywhere else to go. This sanctuary will be a place where they can comfortably live out the rest of their lives while receiving the long-term medical care and love they need. This sanctuary will ensure that they have the necessary space, equipment, and medication needed for these otherwise abandoned dogs to have the best life possible. FSDD currently care for dogs in their shelter, but adding a sanctuary would give senior and injured dogs the comfort they deserve.
Friends of Sochi Dogs also helps find loving homes for dogs who are adoptable, educates the public on the importance of responsible pet care, and provides low-cost/no-cost spay/neuter procedures for pets in low-income families and for community animals.
You can help. Just $4 helps contribute to veterinary expenses for a dog in need. You can help elderly and injured dogs live happy and healthy lives like they deserve.
Friends of Sochi Dogs is a trailblazing non-profit organization committed to improving the welfare of stray dogs through education, adoption, and spay/neuter programs.
