Poor Benjamin Buttons was picked up on the side of the road and brought to a nearby shelter. He and his siblings had been taken from their mother prematurely, leaving them malnourished and without the comfort practice of nursing. In lieu of nursing on their mom, the litter began nursing on Benjamin. This caused intense pain and a buildup of scar tissue, obstructing him from urinating.
At the veterinary hospital, doctors placed a catheter to help little Benjamin go. He needs laser treatments to heal, and is currently being given pain medication as he gets necessary vaccinations and other general care. Despite all Benjamin Buttons has suffered, he remains a trooper, patient and sweet.
When Benjamin has healed from his injuries and is old enough for adoption, he'll find a wonderful family to start the next chapter of his life with. While he has made strides in his healing, this is a slow recovery injury and Benjamin Buttons still requires a significant amount of medical care.
