On May 20th, The Animal Rescue Site, in partnership with Greater Good Charities' Good Flights program, will fly over 50 dogs out of overcrowded shelters in Louisiana to new homes in New Jersey. Your support will give these shelter pets a chance at a forever family.

The animals on this flight are at-risk pets; without the flight, they might never find their loving homes due to the overcrowding that often happens in shelters. Sending these pets from under-resourced shelters to shelters with empty space in New Jersey will give them the second chance at life AND the adoption they deserve. Meet some of the pet passengers on last month's flight down below!

Meet Mini Cowboy!

This playful dog was left at St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter after hours and found the following day by staff. While they do not know his history, they do know that he loves everyone he meets and has plenty of energy.

He is called “Mini Cowboy” since he weighs just 25 pounds. He has a heart as big as his personality and is ready to find his partner in New Jersey.

Meet Henry!

Henry is a 2-year-old male mixed breed of some kind, staff call him an oversized corgi! You got a tennis ball? Good, cause this sweet boy loves his tennis ball, he’d probably be a great tennis player.

He loves scratches, all types - butt scratches, ear scratches, head scratches. Henry also loves any attention you can give him. This happy boy has lots of energy and can’t wait to have a family all to himself to give him all the love and attention he desires.

 Meet Clover!

A seriously injured dog who wandered onto the porch of a nearby home for help was brought to Iberville Parish Animal Shelter. Her front left leg was badly injured, and the only option was to amputate. The sweet pup was named Clover and is adjusting to life as a three-legged dog.

She is ready to find a loving home in New Jersey.

Every month we fly a group of deserving pets. Help us fund May's Flight to Freedom now! Just $5, helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.

In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. We're transporting these pets to shelters where they're immediately adopted.

This month's Good Flight will transport at-risk dogs and cats to safety!

Flying shelter pets to freedom

I love being able to help if I can because it helps our animal friends in need. It’s for such a good cause.🩵

I'm happy to help

Animals are innocent and deserve all the help they can get. Many people abandoned these pets , not caring about how scared, confused or lonely they would be. There are very cruel people in this world, we have to balance out this injustice.

Our bunny was abandoned twice! Now that he is with us, there won't be a third time.

Great gift for business clients

I am a professional Pet Sitter and I always leave a little something for my clients when they return home. Things like "Fly To Freedom" is a big hit with my clients, plus they find out about the rescue site.
