July's Freekibble Flight to Freedom will save 170+ pets from the threat of being euthanized!
Not only will these pets be flown to freedom, but the shelters in Louisiana will have more room to take the pets being displaced by the storm!
On July 20th, a flight is scheduled to leave from Lafayette, Louisiana carrying over 170 healthy, loving dogs, cats, puppies & kittens. All were rescued from overcrowded, high–risk shelters and will be flown to Idaho and Washington — where they'll be quickly adopted into loving families!
Most of these pets won’t survive if they don’t make this flight.
You can Help! Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.
Four of the 170+ Pet Passengers waiting for their Flight to Freedom
In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs & cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. Freekibble Flights to Freedom works with Wings of Rescue to save homeless pets by flying them to shelters where they're immediately adopted.
Wings of Rescue's mission is to fly rescue animals in overpopulated shelters to a network of no-kill shelters from which they will be quickly adopted into loving homes. Last year alone Wings of Rescue transported nearly 10,000 pets to no-kill shelters who likely would have been euthanized within the next 48 hours. The average length of stay in these new shelters for these pets was less than 3 1/2 days before they were adopted. Wings of Rescue is in urgent need of your support to maintain their operations. With your help these animals can have a second chance at life and find their forever and loving homes!

such a great organization to organize and find Pilots willing to help. !! The heroes for these dogs :)
I wish I was a pilot now !!
IT's a wonderful thing that is being done for these beautiful animals. God bless all of you and the pilot/s. There is a special place in heaven for lovely people like you. Be well-be safe.
I bought a limited-production 'heart-and-paw lock-and-key' Sterling Silver ring through the Second Chance Movement as a Christmas gift for my pup-loving ladyfriend, the purchase of which helped to fund this joint venture between Freekibble Flights to Freedom and Wings of Rescue. The ring is cute, .925 Sterling, and not 'trinket-like'. With this purpose behind it, it was the best choice as a gift. ; ] It's beyond nice to know that people care this much to put forth such great effort in the interest of saving innocent pups and kit-cats who are blameless in being born, abused, neglected, or merely unwanted. They ARE wanted, and this donation helps to make the want a reality. This is as awesome, or 'pawsome', as can be. ; ]
I love reading about these, especially the one about Camano Island Washington. My family lived up there for yrs. No matter where the flights go I love to see how happy the animals are. Makes me cry that the animals have homes. You guys are the best to do this. Just the best. You get a big hug from me.
My heart sings watching this video of another Flite to Freedom. I'm a rescue transporter and I know what a wonderful feeling it is to help save precious lives of puppies & kittens & dogs & cats. <3
